Gas Saving Tip #24
With gas hovering at $3.50 a gallon, I’m looking for new ways to save money on fuel. We recently upgraded to a larger vehicle when my second child was born and I am really feeling the pinch.
I have decided to start ordering movies directly to my Tivo through Amazon Unbox rather than driving all the way to the movie store. I figure I will save myself at least one trip as I inevitably forget to bring the movie that is due when I am passing by the store on my other errands.
It’s really easy to download movies online. You can watch them on your computer or your TV with a simple hookup. If you have a service like TiVo you can even download them directly to your lineup.
I think I’ll watch August Rush tonight.
How do you save money on gas these days?

Hovering at $3.50? Admittedly, my car needs premium, but I paid $3.96 this morning! Ouch.
$108 to fill up my vehicle the other day! :-/
Great idea on the direct movie rentals…something I would not have thought of. I guess ordering groceries through services like Peapod would be another gas-prevention idea.
